Privacy Policy
Last updated: 19 June 2026
WireApp("we", "our", or "us") operates the WireAppAndroid application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.
1. Information We Collect
We designed WireApp to collect as little personal information as possible. The data involved falls into a few categories: Data you create in the app. Your clients, categories, material lists, item counts, business name, and language/country preferences. This content is stored locally on your device (see Section 3) and is not uploaded to our servers in normal use. An anonymous account identifier. On first launch the app signs you in to Firebase Authentication anonymously and generates a unique identifier (a "UID"). This lets the app work without any signup. If you choose to sign in with Google from Settings → Account, your anonymous account is linked to your Google account and we receive basic Google profile information (such as your name and email address) from Google. Diagnostic and crash data. If the app crashes or hits an error, Firebase Crashlytics records the stack trace, your device model, OS version, app version and build number, and your anonymous UID. It does not capture your lists, client names, material names, or PDF contents. Usage analytics. We use Mixpanel and Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used — for example which screens are viewed and whether a PDF was exported. We deliberately do not send the content you type: business names, client names, and material names are never transmitted as analytics data (we record only non-identifying values such as counts, lengths, and internal IDs). We do not track your precise location — only the country you select yourself. Support requests. If you contact us through Settings → Support, we collect the subject, your message, and the email address or phone number you optionally provide, along with your UID, app version, build number, and package name so we can respond.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the anonymous UID to keep your settings and (if you sign in) your account consistent across sessions. We use crash and diagnostic data to find and fix bugs and keep the app stable. We use analytics to understand which features are useful, measure how people get from opening the app to sharing a PDF, and prioritise improvements. We use the contents of a support request solely to respond to and resolve your query. If you make a purchase, billing information is processed by Google Play and our paywall provider (Superwall) to confirm and restore your purchase — we do not store your card details.
3. Data Storage and Retention
Your lists and other content are stored locally on your device using an on-device database (Isar) and your device's local preferences. They are not synced to the cloud by default, which also means that if you uninstall the app or clear its data, that local content is permanently lost and cannot be recovered by us. Account, analytics, crash, and support data are processed by Google (Firebase) and Mixpanel on our behalf and are retained for as long as needed for the purposes described above, after which they are deleted or aggregated. Support requests are stored in Firebase Firestore until the issue is resolved and for a reasonable period afterward for our records.
4. Third-Party Services
The app relies on the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy: Google Firebase (Authentication, Analytics, Crashlytics, Firestore, Remote Config, In-App Messaging) and Google Sign-In — see https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy and https://policies.google.com/privacy. Mixpanel (product analytics) — see https://mixpanel.com/legal/privacy-policy. Superwall (paywall and purchase management) — see https://superwall.com/privacy. Google Play Billing handles payments for the optional Pro purchase — see https://policies.google.com/privacy.
5. Children's Privacy
WireApp is a professional tool for tradespeople and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing — for example under the EU/UK GDPR or India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act. Because most of your content lives only on your device, you can delete the bulk of it at any time by clearing or uninstalling the app. To request access to or deletion of the limited data we hold (such as your anonymous account or support requests), contact us at the email below and we will respond within a reasonable time.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you within the app. Your continued use of WireApp after an update means you accept the revised policy.
8. Contact Us
If you have questions about this policy or how we handle your data, email us at wireappteam@gmail.com. We aim to respond within a few business days.
