WireApp Is Now SiteList: Same App, a Name That Says What It Does

If you use WireApp, you are about to see a new name on your phone: SiteList. It is the same app, with the same lists and the same one-tap PDFs. Only the name and the icon are changing. If you have opened the app in the last few weeks, you may have already seen a notice about it. Here is why we are doing it, and what it means for you.

A Name That Kept Getting Confused

There is already a well-known app called Wire, and it is an encrypted messaging app. When people heard "WireApp", a lot of them assumed we were a chat app, or something to do with one. That is the wrong first impression for a tool you are trusting with your job lists.

The name also never said what the app actually does. "Wire" makes sense to an electrician, but WireApp was never only for electricians. Plumbers use it for pipes and fittings. Contractors use it for tiling, painting, false ceilings, and carpentry. A name that pointed at one trade was keeping the others from finding it.

Why SiteList

Because that is what it is: the list you make on site. You walk the job, you tap what you need, and you send a clean list to the shop before you pack up. SiteList says that in two words, for any trade, in any country.

What Is Changing

• The name: WireApp becomes SiteList, inside the app and on the Play Store.
• The icon: a new clipboard-and-wrench logo replaces the old one.
• Your PDFs: free exports will say "Made with SiteList" in the footer.

What Stays Exactly the Same

• It is the same app: there is nothing new to download and nothing to reinstall. It arrives like any other update.
• Your data stays put: every client, category, and material list you have made is still there on your phone.
• Pro stays unlocked: if you already bought Pro, you keep it. There is nothing to buy again.
• The way you work: still fully offline, still one tap to a clean PDF, still shared straight to WhatsApp.

Finding the App While the Name Changes

Nobody wants to unlock their phone on a job and not recognise their own tools. So the change is happening in steps. For a while, the app on your home screen will be called "SiteList (WireApp)" so you can spot it either way. The new icon follows in a later update, and the old name only drops off once everyone has had time to get used to the new one.

If you ever cannot find it, search for SiteList on the Play Store, or look for the clipboard icon on your home screen.
